( 05/11) State Blood Transfusion Council has asked report on Selling of the donated blood from Balangir Blood Bank. The report about donated blood being sold in Kantabanji Blood bank in Balangir district was investigated by the concerned District Health Department. After the investigation, an FIR was lodged against the technician Naresh Chandra Mishra. But no other action has been taken after that FIR. It has been alleged that, the district health department is trying to hide it’s own anomaly and save Mr. Mishra.
On the other hand, State Blood Transfusion Council has asked report from the CDMO on this matter through the letter number 1150/03/11/2020. Now the CDMO had to report back on this matter. However, people are highly annoyed by negligence of the district Health department and it’s shallow attempts to save Mr. Mishra as well as hide this whole matter.
